““Jim Colbert has a passion for writing songs that few people have these days. He is a craftsman and a writer who is constantly listening and honing songs that illuminate, narrate, and entertain." - Joe Crookston, singer/songwriter, Ithaca, NY” - Joe Crookston
— Singer/Songwriter
“Opening for Red Molly, Jim Colbert entered a room full of strangers and left a room full of fans and friends, all won over by his engaging personality, warm voice, and a set of well-crafted, personal songs. Lyrically and musically Colbert's original This Was What I Wanted would fit right into a set of Gorka, Keelaghan or Wilcox songs. See him wherever you can, and keep your eyes open for his debut CD.” - Gene Frey
It's like a scaled-down Kentucky Derby with stick horses and no alcohol or gambling. But there will be music!
The event invites teams of up to four to compete in various equine events outside and will also feature an art sale and light refreshments in the large lobby at Calvary. Spectators are welcome to join in the fun (tickets will be $15 at the door). I'll be playing in the auction area, probably several half hour sets.
